Tajweed Untangled is the clear- cut guide to learning the art of the Quran recitation, by Learning Roots.

The beauty of this course extends beyond its attractive layout and design and permeates to the way it fundamentally reviews the teaching methodology of this noble skill.

The chapters in Tajweed Untangled begin with real examples from the Noble Quran demonstrating a rule in action. After listening to the examples, readers are encouraged to decipher the rule for themselves. Rules are then explained clearly and rendered in a salient layout for easy revision. Written tasks and practice lines then follow to help reinforce the application of the rules.

The clarity and effectiveness of both the methodology and layout make Tajweed Untangled an enjoyable and beneficial experience for children and adults alike!

It is our Islamic responsibility to educate our Children in the Deen, especially in teaching them the Noble Quran.

The Prophet (saaw) said:

“The one who recites the Quran and is well versed in it (i.e. its recitation), will be in the company of Angels who are scribes, noble and righteous; and one who falters in its recitation and has to exert himself, will get double the reward.”

(Muslim, Narrated on the authority of Aa’isha)

“Many of the distinguished Scholars memorized the Quran, before reaching the age of puberty. Ash-Shaafi’ee memorized the whole of the Quran when he was only seven years old. An-Nawawee memorized it when he was ten. Ibn Taimiyyah memorized it before attaining puberty, as did the Noble Sheikh, Ibn Baaz, may Allah have mercy on all of them.”

(Quoted from the Islamic Parenting book: “Raising Children in the light of the Quran and Sunnah”, page 53)

The Prophet (saaw) said:

“Whoever recites the Quran and acts upon it, his parents will be adorned with a crown on the Day of Judgement whose light will be better than the light of the sun in the worlds homes. So (if this is the reward of his parents) then what do you think about the one who actually does the act?”

(Reported by Abu Dawood, 1453)
